I have been busting my *** on creating a graph from data in a pivot table without the graph becoming a pivot graph. What I do want is the graph to change according to the selection I make in the pivottable. Can you help?

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
On the PivotTable toolbar click on the PivotChart dropdown list and select the "Hide PivotChart Field Buttons" option.

Mark,

Thanks for your reply. I just tried it but its not really working. To give you an idea of what I am trying to do...I have several columns with YTD revenue, sales, budget revenue, budget sales, etc. I also make a distiction between region, month, Q, H1/H2 account. Now what I am trying to do is that when I change the pivottable to show a certain account in a certain month/Q/H that the table changes as well. So far that has not been working. What happened was that I get to see bookings and revenue in one graph and I want to split them over 2 graphs but keeping the single pivottable.

Any suggestions?

Either produce separate PivotTables with only the data needed for each chart. Or, use the GETPIVOTDATA worksheet function to extract only the data needed for each chart.
