Conditional Sum Question

Hello All,

I am trying to analyse data from two separate worksheets into a 3rd separate worksheet.

worksheet 1 contains a list of salesmen with id numbers split by manager into four columns.

worksheet 2 contains exported data from a small systems source detailing sales for each salesman across different products. In this sheet the salesmens id numbers are sometimes repeated as the sheet contains merged information from several exported sheets. ie. the salesmen sell the same products in different regions, each merged, exported sheet covers a different region.

worksheet 3 i would like to have a summary showing the sales for each salesman across all the regions he has sold in and subtotal it for the manager he works for i.e.use the information in sheet 1 to define the data selected from sheet 2. Sheet 2 also contains salesmen id that I need to ignore.

Having searched around for a solution I chanced accross 'Conditional Sum'. Is there any way I can use this to solve the problem, or is there a simpler easier way for me to go(apart from down the pub!). Ideally I would like to automate the process.

As ever, any help or advice would be most appreciated.
