i have a macro which hides certain columns. i need to protect/lock some cells in these columns, but excel won't let me hide protected cells. is there a way of hiding columns which contain protected cells, please? thanks in advance!

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
I just tried it without any macro (manually protecting the cell, then hiding the column) and it worked fine (Excel 97).

Maybe the problem is in the macro?
