Hi,

Is there anyway of changing the default row height from 12.75 to say 15 in Excel. I want this as a permanent change rather than doing this everytime I create a new workbook. I know by changing the default font size to Arial 12 does change the row height but I want my font size to remain at 10.

I'm using Excel 97 if anyone can help please let me know.

Thanks
Jon

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
one way is to make a new workbook set the cell the way you wont them, then save as templete, then you just open the templete when you need a new workbook.

Hi Jon

I don't have xl97 here at work, but the way to do it in 2000 or later would be to save down a workbook template with your required default settings in your XLSTART folder with the name "Book.xlt". Also save down a single worksheet with your default settings into XLSTART and call it "Sheet.xlt".

This way, whenever you add a new workbook or add a new sheet to an existing workbook, the default settings in the two files above will be used.

It *probably* works in 97 too.
