I've found how to do it with a range of numbers and have tried altering it to search for certain words. Here it is for numbers:

Sub Cond_Select()

' set low and high criteria
loval = InputBox("Low Value") * 1
hival = InputBox("High Value") * 1

' Define the area to be looked at.
Set area = ActiveCell.CurrentRegion

' Test each cell for criteria and construct a new range called "myrange"
' which matches the criteria.

For Each cell In area
If cell.Value >= loval And cell.Value <= hival Then
If n = 0 Then
Set myrange = cell
n = 1
Else
Set myrange = Union(myrange, cell)
End If
End If
Next cell

myrange.Select

End Sub
