PERSONAL Workbook

When I open a new workbook, an additional workbook labeled "PERSONAL" opens at the same time. This just started recently and I would like to stop this. I have not been able to find anything in the Help file to resolve this, however.

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
You want the personal.xls to remain, it is part of the system Excel uses. What you need to do is hide the window. Goto window on the tool bar and click on hide.......
