I have imported 12 graphs into powerpoint based on the same excel spreadsheet, but when I import them they each have their own excel sheet 'behind'them. In order to update them on a monthly basis I have to either update each of the excel sheets in turn within powerpoint, or reimport each of the graphs from excel which is laborious. What I want to do is link each of the graphs to the same single spreadsheet in powerpoint to prevent the repetition. Any suggestions?

Hi Steven,

You need to paste the Excel data into Powerpoint not as Embedded OLE objects (which is the result of a simple copy and paste), but as Linked OLE objects. To paste Excel data as a linked objects you must use Paste Special in Powerpoint, selecting the Paste Special dialog's Paste Link option button.
