To text file problem

I have an excel spreadsheet that I need to save to a text file and have a certain amount of spacing I need between data (ex 1 space between the first two data, 2 between the second group, none between the last.
I know this is probably simple but I can't get this to work; I've tried setting the column with to 1 space more to add a space at the end; tried putting spacer columns...
