I have a file entitled "Macro Library" which does not reside in the same subdirectory as many of the files I use. I would like the "Macro Library" file to open automatically whenever I access Excel. Is this possible?

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
let me quote smozgur's reply just recently to another question...

"There is a file called as Personal.xls. It is personal workbook and it opened everytime you open a workbook, and it is hidden as default. You can store your macros in it so you dont need to copy macros in all workbooks that you want to use in. To create a personal.xls if you have not already just Tools_Macro_RecordNewMacro and select Personal Macro Workbook for "store macro in" choice. After recording a simple macro by this way you can goto to VBE and see the Personal.xls file. Just move your macros there. "

There is another way. Say you want the original file on a LAN drive, you can create a shortcut (right click on file, select "create shortcut") of the file and place the shortcut in your "xlstart" directory. This folder ought to be on your c: drive, do a search for it.

Should fire up every time you fire up XL. Hope this helps.
