Hi: I have several Columns that contain sensitive data. I want to Hide these Columns so that the viewing public will not only see just the Columns intended, but in no way, or back door method can Unhide the hidden Columns I do not want to Protect visible data as there might be a need to change it.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
You have a couple of options:

Move the data to another sheet and hide it - then protect the workbook

or

Using VBA set the scrollarea to not allow access to those columns.

or using code remove the unhide function from all menus. (much mor difficult)

Thanks so far. I don't want to move it to antoher WS and this could start to mess things up.

First off, can you Hide and then Protect to that they can't recall the Columns?

Can you probide the exact code regarding your second option.

Thanks--Mike
