I am in a dilemma. Here`s my problem (hope I can make myself clear - I`m still learning my way through excel!)
In sheet one, if I enter the file path of a second workbook (e.g in cell A1), is there any way that the second workbook will pop up when I enter the file path??
Basically I want to take certain data out of the second workbook and paste it into the first and I want an easy way of doing it without writing a macro.

Is this at all possible or am I asking too much??

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
To link multiple workbooks, open both the source and destination workbooks. In the destination cell, type an = sign, then switch to the source workbook (Window menu) and click in the source cell. Excel will write the formula for you.

As for having the source workbook open when you click on a cell, that sounds like a VBA issue, which I am a total dumbo on.

Hope this helps,
sc
