I'm sure this must be simple but it's driving me nuts - I'm trying to count all the dates in a column that are in the future, but the syntax is beating me.
=COUNTIF(A:A,TODAY()) counts all the examples with todays date, but what have I got to do to change the formula to count if >today() - adding the ">" produces a helpful "The formula you typed contains an error" message.

Thanks for your time

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.

you need to put ""'s round the > and and &.

=COUNTIF(A:A,">"&TODAY())

It's funny because you did the ">" in your question.
