Can't view password protected code

I have a file which contains some VBA. I password protected it so that nobody could change it. When I tried to view the code on somebody else's PC, I got an error that the project was unviewable, it didn't prompt me for the password. Why? I need to do this on somebody else's PC as they need to specify a password contained in the code for protecting the workbook and I don't want to know the password they're going to be using. So they need to enter it.

Please help... anybody :(

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
One reason could be that you protected the code using XL 2000 (or higher) and tried to view it using XL 97. 97 used a different encoding system for VBA password protection (for "different", read "weaker") I believe that XL 2000 has the backward compatability to use the XL97 system, but not vice versa. I really hope this makes sense, I'm tired.
