Auto Save default Excel 2000

Hi,

Please can somebody tell me why the auto save funtion returns to the default setting every time you close and then open the sheet. I want my sheet to save every 5 mins without promting me. However, when the sheet restarts it is set to save every 10mins with a promt. I have looked on the MS support site and they say that the SR-1 Disc cures this problem. It didn`t!!

I there any other way I can do it?
