Don't want cells left blank when using Data validation

I am using Data Validation and I don't want the user to go past a cell without putting in an entry. When I leave the box (ignore blank) unchecked it doesn't do anything after I have protected the document.

Hi guys,

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread but it is so close to what i need i was hoping that somebody may be able to use the above and help me get to what i need.

So I have a similar issue but i will try to explain my scenario a little first:

I have a table that users record the names of people who have performed each of the required 5 tasks per project.

So each time they perform a project they must add a new line to the table detailing the project number and names under each of the 5 headings.

I want to stop them from leaving any names left out so once a project number is entered i want it to force them to enter the names. (once we get this far i will then go onto the rules for not allowing the same name under certain tasks lol)

All i have done so far is data validation to provide a drop down list of names for each task, and the conditional formatting on two columns at the end to display red or green for the checks on the duplicate names under certain tasks.

I hope this makes sense, and hope somebody can help me achieve what im after here :) Thanks in advance

Curious if anyone found an answer as to how to apply this to multiple cells. I get an error "Compile error: Ambiguous name detected: Worksheet_SelectionChange" when I try to copy, paste and change the cell reference.
