I am going to try to cut and paste an example of the formula fields I need.
I have organized my database, and know HOW I want my formulas to work, just unsure how to MAKE them work :)

I asked for help on this before, and it worked great, but was only one column, and I wasnt able to ascertain how to change it a little to make it work throughout the sheet.

I will have a set value for "x" it will be in sheet labeled "admin" and it will be the cell named "price"

I am hoping this is clear, if you have any questions please feel free to email me or ICQ me.. thank you. I wont see if the "paste" worked until I submit.. so bear with me. :)

OK.. the cut and paste didnt work, so let me spend a little more time trying to edit this into a viewable format :)
OK.. the only way I can see to do this is give you a URL with a word version of the formulas..
if you go here. :
http://www.fowlterritory.com/excelhelp/formula help in word.doc

you can view my formulas I am trying to get going.
It will give you a funky " enter password" thing when you load the page.. but hit "cancel" and it will load it anyhoo ( odd I know)
ANYONE please help ?

thank you SOO much..

Excel Facts

Who is Mr Spreadsheet?
Author John Walkenbach was Mr Spreadsheet until his retirement in June 2019.
Again.. if this is unclear, let me know.. I have a database with A - P columns ..
I need a formula to refer to the exact text within some fields ( i.e if "snake" is in the column then it equals 8x.. or 8 *'s the value of x in the "price" cell.. )
Am I making any sense here ? lol

thanks!
