A macro in workbook 'A' opens workbook 'B', copies a few data cells from 'B' and pastes them in 'A'. When the macro is run via Tools,Macro,Run, it works just fine. When I use the shortcut key, workbook 'B' opens and the macro stops at the open 'B'. Is there somthing different between the shortcut key and tool bar execution?

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.

There shouldn't be any difference in the execution of the macro. Make sure that the shortcut key is pointing to the correct macro and not a different one or an earlier version that you may have written and not completed.
