I want to add a new (i.e. keep my summary raw data) column to a pivot table that will give me the current column as a percent of the column's total. Excel doesn't seem to want to let me add this as as anything but a new data row. Here's an example of what I want:<table border=1><tr><td>Rep</td><td>NY</td><td>%</td><td>Boston</td><td>%</td></tr><tr><td>Bob</td><td>5,000</td><td>33%</td><td>1000</td><td>50%</td></tr><tr><td>Jane</td><td>10,000</td><td>67%</td><td>1000</td><td>50%</td></tr><tr><td>Total</td><td>15,000</td><td>100%</td><td>2,000</td><td>100%</td></tr></table>

When I add a the same data field Excel wants to make it a new row (rather than column):<table border=1><tr><td>Rep</td><td>Data</td><td>NY</td><td>Boston</td></tr><tr><td>Bob</td><td>Sales</td><td>5,000</td><td>1,000</td></tr><tr><td></td><td>% Sales</td><td>33%</td><td>50%</td></tr><tr><td>Jane</td><td>Sales</td><td>10,000</td><td>1,000</td></tr><tr><td></td><td>% Sales</td><td>67%</td><td>50%</td></tr><tr><td>Total</td><td></td><td>15,000</td><td>2,000</td></tr><tr><td>Total %</td><td></td><td>100%</td><td>100%</td></tr></table>

Seems like this would be a simple thing but I'm missing something.

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Click on and drag the 'Data' field label to the right and then release.
