Is there a procedure to use a cell content as a filename?
eg cell d3 contains 'Kevin' which I'd like saved as an automated filename = kevin.xls

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
Hi,

Here are two examples:-

'Save it in current folder
ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs Sheets("Sheet1").Range("D3").Value

'or save it in a stated folder
ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs "C:temp" & Sheets("Sheet1").Range("D3").Value
