I have an application that takes forever to load in xl2000 but in xl97 it loads right up. Can you think of any differences between 2000 and 97 that would cause this? I have activex radio control selections that seem to have a big delay in 2000 after the application is finally loaded in. Other than that everything seems to work ok in both versions. Any help would be appreciated. I might add that the file is only about 750k and it takes about 1.5 min. in 2000 and about 10 seconds in 97. The workbook is protected and one sheet is protected.

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
I believe that I have fixed my problem. It turns out not to be a problem with the different versions of excel but rather the size of my c:windowstemp folder. I cleared out everything there except for subfolders ( I sure hope I didn't get rid of anything that I shouldn't have) and it runs quick and fast like it should.
