Hi all,

I need to produce a pie of pie chart & am having trouble apportioning the 2nd pie chart to the slice of pie in pie chart 1.
I don't seem to be given the option of entering the 2nd set of figures.
Any ideas?

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Suppose this is your data...

{"Pie","Qty"
;"Peach",10
;"Apple",20
;"Cherry",30
;"Rubarb",5
;"Mincemeat",12
;"Pecan",18}

...and you want your Pie-of-Pie to consist of Rubarb, Mincemeat and Pecan.

1. Select this data and create the Pie-of-Pie chart using the Chart Wizard.
2. Double-click the pie and click on the Format Data Series Option tab.
3. Set the "Second plot contains the last [x] values" field to 3.

Thanks Mark, but I think that I misunderstood the capabilities of Pie of Pie.
What I wanted was if I had the following info:
Material Cost - 500
Material MHP - 28
External MFG - 300
Optical Build/Assy - 250
My first pie would consist of the above, but then what i wanted was within the same chart to show the commodity breakdown of material costs. Eg:
Optical Cmpts - 350
Mechanics - 100
Connectors Etc - 50
Is this possible?

Yes, arrange your data like...

{"Item","Cost"
;"Material MHP",28
;"External MFG",300
;"Optical Build/Assy",250
;"Optical Cmpts",350
;"Mechanics",100
;"Connectors Etc",50
