Help! I have a data set of aprox 90,000 rows that i need ot run a vlookup on. As the excel is limited to 65,000 rows is there any way i can have the lookup continue in the next columns? (ie. data running from a1-a65000, then continue in b1-b25000)

With that much data to compare have you considered putting it into an Access Database to run your comparison? No row limit in Access.

thanks for the reply, yes considered that but, unfortunately the final file will be a user tool and the end users do not have Access, so the tool need to be built in excel.

If you do want to do it in Excel, it might take a while to calculate, but you could do it by adding IF logic to the lookup.

=IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(E9,G:G,1,FALSE)),VLOOKUP(E9,H:H,1,FALSE),VLOOKUP(E9,G:G,1,FALSE))
