Is it possible to password protect a macro so that only certain people can run it?

Excel Facts

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
You can put an if statement in the workbook open event that verifies their username. To get the username use the following api code:

Option Explicit
Private Declare Function GetUserName Lib "advapi32.dll" Alias "GetUserNameA" _
(ByVal lpBuffer As String, _
nSize As Long) As Long

Sub Get_User_Name()

Dim lpBuff As String * 25
Dim ret As Long, UserName As String
ret = GetUserName(lpBuff, 25)
UserName = Left(lpBuff, InStr(lpBuff, Chr(0)) - 1)
MsgBox UserName

End Sub

This hasn't done what I wanted. I just want a simple password protection on a single macro so that it cannot be run by people who shouldn't.

Is this too simple an approach?
