I tried the "Create a Gantt Chart" from the Tip of the Week. I get the selected color OK but I also get "TRUE" text in every colored cell. What am I doing wrong?

Are you entering the conditional formula directly into the worksheet cell? Or, are you using the Format | Conditional Formatting... menu command?

I'm entering the formula directly into the upper left cell of the Gantt Chart area, just as directed by Mr Excel's Tip of the Week

Wayne,

you need to select the upper left cell, you're okay so far, but don't actually enter the formula in it : you need to then enter the formula via conditional format :

so :

format (from the toolbar)
conditional formatting
change "cell value is" to "formula is"
and follow the tip-'o-the-week

[if this is where you were going wrong, I'm intrigued to find out how you got the colouring right though, ya got me there]
