We have worksheets inside of workbooks, so what is the next step? Workbooks are inside of what...what are inside of worksheets?

I have info from weeks that I need compiled into monthly totals and then I need the year-to-date totals.

I'm trying to keep it VERY simple (excel=illiterate users) by putting the months into folders to choose from and then a set of worksheets for the corresponding weeks. I also found that it takes too long to save the info if I have it in the same workbook.

It probably takes either a macro or hyperlink thingy, but I haven't a clue about how to set it up...

Help!

Excel Facts

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.

1st thing is 1st.
how much info is in your weekly reports...?
is it one spreadsheet?, is it one line..., or is it a whole heap of pages?

My weekly reports contain inventory amounts and expenditures. They are each a small set of numbers from each day of the week.

I currently have the inventory amounts in one wkbook and the expenditures in another. I'm using Paste Special to get the numbers into the wkbook that has the monthly and yearly totals. Am I on the right track or is there an easier way?

THanks!

you said it takes to long to save all the info in one workbook...
do you have alot of worksheets within the workbook?

and do you enter all your figures yourself?

i will tell you now that there is alot of things you can do to keep and recall all your data for the year on just one spreadsheet. however it is not something i can talk you through in here.
