I have downloaded a sheet with numbers.
Some of those numbers are created as TEXT
Who can write a formula that automatickly these TEXT convert to a NUMBER?
Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Wherever you have numbers imported as text add 1 to it to convert it eg =A1+0 will do the trick where A1 is the cell that has come in as text.

Can you give me an example.
I have for instance 12 in Cell A10 as text
I have to turn it in 12 as number.
Many thanks

I am not sure why you want to convert the number (in text form) to number form.
If it is for using the number in calculations, It can be done without converting.

In B10 (or wherever you want the number) type =A10+0. Sam_D1 is also correct if you are using it in calculations. The problem occurs when you need to use lookup tables etc.

Another way,

Put 1 in any cell, copy it
Highlight the areas with nums and text,
Right-Click, Paste Special
Check the multiply option, OK.

Should do the trick without have to move your data around.
