Mouseover Dropdown list

I need a dropdown list that is "view only". I need it to pop up on a mouse over for viewing the items not selecting them.

I have several part numbers and would like a mouse over to pop up a list of the "child" parts under each "parent" orderable part number.

The forms dropdown boxes are no good because when you select one of the items it's text stays in the box. The comment is close, but it doesn't look right for this application.

Any help/advice appreciated very much.

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Would data validation work?

You could set an input message that would come up with whatever you want when a cell is selected.

Ahhh, I didn't think of that. It will work fine.

I would rather not have to click in the cell, just "mouseover", but I don't think there is an easy way to do that.

Thanks a bunch!!!!
