I have charts with lots of data points (3,000). The markers to identify series all run together since the data points are so close together. Is there a way to have the markers appear every 100 data points or so.

Similar problem with dashed lines. My dashed lines appear as solids because the data points are so close together.

Help. Thanks.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Plot the few data points you want as markers as a 2nd series.

For the first series, show the line but no markers. For the 2nd series, show the markers but no line.
