I need to transfer the folder that contains a few of my linked workbooks to another machine. Will the link paths still be applicable? Is there something I can do to increase the likelihood that those links are compatible? I use Excel with WinXP, but the other machine runs NT Excel 97, I believe. Are they even compatible?

THanks in advance!

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
i think as long as you move all the linked files excel should cope. i remember vaguely having to do something similar and it seemed to work ok. as for xp and xl97, i think you'll have to save all your xp files as xl97.

I have e-mailed workbooks from one computer to another and the links worked fine. As long as you move all the files that are linked you will be OK...........
