Hide Border of Currently Active Cell

I want to hide the thick black border with Fill Handle of the currently selected cell so that it isn't obvious that a particular cell is the active cell.

I don't know VBA but am happy to use it if it does the job. I had seen a suggestion of using

ActiveSheet.EnableSelection = xlNoSelection

but I don't know how to implement this and the appropriate code to surround it.

Does anyone have any suggestions... or alternative ways to achieve this?
