Hi

I hope someone can give me some guidance on this.

I have a macro running in Excel that opens an Access Database and runs some queries. This works perfectly on my PC, However when I run it on a colleagues PC we get the Error.

I have checked the References and all are present and I have checked that the Addins are all the same.

The Filepath is the same - no mapping issues.

Anybody got any ideas of what else to check

Many Thanks

Does that user get the error every time? (I assume you checked the default open mode on his machine, not just yours) Can he open the database manually using the mapped J: drive path?

Hi

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

In answer to your Questions

Yes, my colleague gets the error every time we have tried to run the macro. Yes, he can open the access db manually without any problems ( i have checked the mapping,it is identical)

and the default open mode is the same on his pc as well

we are running the same software versions office 2003 so there should be no conflict there.

The only other thing I can think of is that he recently had his PC rebuilt due to a DLL issue. It would not open a Business Objects Object via Excel Macro - since rebuild this has been solved and perhaps there is still an issue in that area. Unfortunately I have no experience in this area and no access to it either.

Apologies for the Bump

We are still having this issue and have just tried it on another Pc with the same problem occurring.

Has anyone come across this before and know how to fix it ????

TIA
