I use formula =MOD(ROW()-9,1*2)+1<=1 as a conditional format in order to have rows of alternating color, but I can't get other conditions to work in the colored row??

When I set up a condition where the word "OVDUE" will turn red and bold it only works in the rows that are not colored--in the green rows in does not change???

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
I was playing with conditional formating and useing the following was able to make my green cells turn red.

condition one

cell value is equal to E2 (holding cell)

format red

With overdue in E2 when I type overdue into my formated cells they turn red

condition two

cell value is between 1 to 1000

format green

My cells are green with any number between 1 and 1000

if I have a green cell and i type in overdue it now turns red.

Hope this helped.........

See the Excel Help Index topic for "Conditional formats are not applied correctly.".

Another thought..........

If you want only the text in the cell to turn red..........

format patterns to no fill, then text to red.

Now we have green cells for numbers and the word overdue is red on a white background..
