Greetings all.

I have a range (column) of data, say A1:A20.

Now, I would like to return the maximum of the absolute values for the numbers found in these cells. I can get this in 2 steps, but can someone come up with a way to combine this into one formula? My solution would be to create a 2nd column with the absolute values and then add a cell which pulls the max for that range.

Any thoughts on a one-step solution would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Sean
