Is there a formula or a way to count how many cells in a range have had values entered in them?

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Sort by date Sort by votes
=COUNT(YourRange)

or =COUNTA(YourRange) if it has text strings in the cells.

also look at the help files on =COUNTIF()
