Hello,

I don't understand why a file with 12 columns, 450 rows without Formulas, Conditional Formatting, just with borders and Font format (size, bold) has a size of 1,600 KB.
When I save this file as txt file is just 30 KB.

Is it corrupted?
Is it normal?
Or do I forget something to clean?

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
When I used to write programs years ago for the Commodore Amiga, saving on memory was very important. I found that if the computer was having to work hard while testing the programs, they would always be huge files when I saved them. To solve this I would simply cut the code and copy it into a new document, saving it before making any more changes. This would dramatically reduce the size of the file.

I really don't know if computers have this problem today. As files sizes are no longer such a big deal I’ve never tried, but it's worth a go I suppose.
