Round to 500

Does anybody have any ideas if it is possble to get excel to round the answer of a formula to the nearest 500.

Try the MROUND function:

=MROUND(A1,500)

You could use
=ROUND(your formula/500,0)*500

or have a look at Mround which requires the analyst tool pak be installed.

It's a ; not a ,

=Round(A1/500;0)*500

In Excel 2003 it is.
