Screen Updating

I have screen updating turned off. However,I can still see a couple of things occur on the screen - Copying sheet tabs and renaming them. I have stepped through the code and nowhere is it turned back on until the end - any suggestions?

I've seen that some actions don't care if ScreenUpdating is on or off, like opening a book.

There's an API call that really freezes the screen, not like Excel, so, have to handle it more carefully ! I don't have it here, but if you need it, repost.
