When putting validation checks on cells, is there a way of specifying a certain number of digits (for example, for a phone number)?

Cheers

s=t=i=f=f=r=i=m=p=e=t

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December

To add a bit more detail to Brian's reply...
We are assuming that you are using 'Data Validation'?
If so, you will notice a combobox with the label 'Allow'.
One of the options which you can allow is 'Text Length'.
You may set a minimum or maximum for data entered...
However, this setting will not differentiate between numbers and text strings.
There are other ways of forcing exact masks of data entry if you need them directly in your cells or in a form.
There also may be other ways which I am not aware of.
