Dear All,
I have accidentally locked up a database in Access by a password and I have lost the password, is there any way to crack the password so that I could re-activate the database???
The trouble with passwords is that they're meant to be secure, and not easily bypassed. Otherwise there wouldn't be much point would there!?
You're not necessarily out of luck though - just expect it to take a whole lot of time and effort on your behalf. Start here and start searching for password recovery utility for Access. I'm sure theres one out there somewhere.
really, it is not difficult at all to recover. I did it myself recently, downloaded free software and zapped the database to enable me to access it, all in about 5 minutes.
try cnet.com who are also quite good for downloads.
