I am trying to use the following formula to display both the start date and end date in the same cell separated by a dash, my formula is: (all cell references are dates)

=IF($P2="",$O2+90,$P2+90)&" - "&IF($P2="",$O2+90,$P2+180)

The formula results are the dates, but displayed as numbers (38973 - 39063).

Is there a way to structure the formula to display as the dates? (9/12/2006 - 12/12/2006)

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Perhaps:

=TEXT(IF($P2="",$O2+90,$P2+90),"m/d/yyyy") & " - " & TEXT(IF($P2="",$O2+90,$P2+180),"m/d/yyyy")

As minor tweaks to this you could eliminate one of the "+90"s and build the joiner (" - ") into one of the formats.

=TEXT(IF($P2="",$O2,$P2)+90,"m/d/yyyy - ")&TEXT(IF($P2="",$O2+90,$P2+180),"m/d/yyyy")
