Greetings, all...

I have a user form which needs to inform the user how many missing documents he needs to complete.

Cell E3 has the tally of the number of missing documents.

I have tried using a text box and changing the "value" property to =E3.
I've tried naming a variable to equal the value of E3 and placing the variable in the value property of the text box.
I've found some code around here and modified it to what I thought would work.

Here it is:

Private Sub UserForm_Initialize()
MissingSections = Sheets("InputSht").Range("E3")
MissingSections.SetFocus
End Sub

Any ideas as to an easy way to get this information to the user?

Thanks in advance,
Jim

Excel Facts

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
This code is behind the userform

Private Sub UserForm_Initialize()
UserForm1.Show
TextBox1.Text = Range("E3").Value
End Sub

Solution
Hello, Jim...

That worked well. But I have one more question:

I got it to work with just the line: TextBox1.Text = Range("E3").Value

Is there a reason for the first line which by ommitting might cause me grief later?

Thanks so much!

My example was self-contained code to demo the point you needed to know. If you don't need the UserForm1 Show like, for get it. The main thing is that you see and understand the main line: TextBox1.Text = Range("E3").Value

Good Luck,

Jim
