Can someone help me I have a stock sheet with one column for the prices each item - I want to be able to update prices weekly whilst leaving last weeks costings with the old price. What is the neatest way to do this??

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.

Hi Karen,

1. Load the existing values to a "history" sheet *before* updating the current prices.

2. Load the current updates to the next row/column available on the current sheet.

Both options would require a date identifier as an additional item, possibly a category header.

Evening Jay,

just a quickie.... Excel doesn't like it when you try to name a sheet called "history"... it's a reserved name for some reason....

weird !
