What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
not sure you can 6/18 ths is one third

unless you mean you can use it as text, in which case '6/18 will fix it for you

If the denominator is to be 18, you could use '# ??/18' as a custom number format (dicth the single quotes).
