clear error checking flags for a selection of cells?

I use Excel 2002. Often the design of a spreadsheet creates errors that aren't errors -- typically "inconsistent formula in region" or "formula omits cells in region".

In most cases the error is in a single cell, which is easy enough to clear. But on more than one occasion, I've had many error flags to clear, which as far as I can tell, must be done one cell at a time. Is there a way to clear errors for a selection of cells? I don't want to disable checking as it often alerts me to 'real' errors.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Try clicking on an empty cell then dragging the mouse to one of the cells containing the error message. If you choose the 'ignore' option, I seem to recall it will apply to all the selected cells.

(Not tested here.)

(blushing) Of course! Actually, I'm quite certain I tried that when I first encountered this problem many years ago and the error warning (exclamation mark) didn't pop up. From that point on, I just assumed it was a design flaw and I never tried again. Must have been some sort of video or mouse glitch. Thanks.
