In Quatro pro you can add comments to a formula by typing a semicolon (;) after the formula. Is such a feature available in Excel other than by using the add comment and defining its display properties under Tools-options ?

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.

i hate the sqaure bos so i have little fluff blue sky and top white cloudes, ok its a fade but best i could do... select it right click on the boarder and edit profiles...

Hi

If its that painful attach a command button to trip the right click add comment etc...

Assign to what ever is active cell. this i use so i avaoid boaring yellow boxes..

If you want the comment to show, you could make it all text. That way you have the results of the formula and the comment in the same cell.

Example:
=TEXT(A1+A2,"0") & " This is a comment"

yes you can sought of.

Use the N function eg.

=IF(D15>C15,"nono",1234)+N("this is a comment - testing one two three 123")

cheatinh Nar thats the note formula we all know about.. good call guys.. i use this as a tag... works well wrap text helps so i

Did you know in WinXP you assign new printer via explorer!
