This problem has stumped me for over a year...

I get an error message when I try to copy
one of my worksheets within a workbook.

"A formula or sheet you want to move or copy
contains the name 'FEB98_AP', which already exists on the destination worksheet. Do you want to use this version of the name?
. To use the names as defined in the destination sheet, click Yes.
. To rename the range referred to in the formula or worksheet, click No, and enter a new name in the Name Conflict dialog box."

I have no idea where this name is orginating
from, and when I try a "Go To" command, nothing comes up. I tried to paste a Name list, and nothing. I cannot find this referent!! Please help as it has me stumped.

How could it already exist on the destination worksheet as I am using the "copy worksheet" function, and this message appears after I tell it to "move to end"??

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Do you currently have now or in the past
named ranges such as this ??

If you have/haven't then you can delete them
since they may be hidden vai a macro

Hi Ivan,

Thank you kindly for this reply. I have been stumped for a long time.

I do not have these name ranges.

If these range names are hidden in a Macro,
How would I find them?

When you do the Name Range Paste List, nothing comes up.

I have deleted all rows and columns outside of the area of the spreadsheet that I use.
The error message still comes up when I try to copy the sheet.

Thanks again for the input.
