.. took me a while to figure out how the match and offset combination was meant to work. Especially because match without match value is assumed to be '1' which requires the array to be sorted in ascending order, and my E:E isn't. - but it works :eek:

now I have to play with it, but wanted to give you the feedback - thanks again!
