Hiding and unhiding forms from workbook to workbook

I have a workbook that opens up a userform and from this userform I can then open up another program, make the first userform hide and load/unhide the new userform in other workbook. I have also set both workbooks that when workbook activate the relevant userforms are hidden or shown. This is fine for flicking between the workbooks but the problem arises when I close down the second workbook as when the first is shown the userform does not come up even though it is the active workbook.

Anybody have any ideas.

Thanks
Steve
