Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.

Matt,
I assume that you want this for defined range of cells and not for all empty cells in the worksheet.
You can select all empty cells in a range by Edit | Goto | special | blanks, and put "=0" in the active cell.

Thanks Eli, is there a way of updating all cells in one hit or do I have to update individually?

thanks
