Hi

I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find anything similar, as it's not really a convert time to seconds problem - its a convert time to time problem???

Could someone please help with the above conversion?

As an example 2.08.3 should be converted to 128.3 seconds.

I'm using Excel 2007.

Thanks in advance.

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
I'm assuming that 2.08.03 is a text value, If so, try this

=LEFT(A1,FIND(".",A1))*60+REPLACE(A1,1,FIND(".",A1),"")
